We spent a lot of time in the garden on Sunday. Our tomatoes and blackberries were in some serious need of taming. And we harvested the end of our "spring" crops to make room eventually for "fall" crops of the same.
Here's what we ended up taking inside for dinner.
Clockwise from top left: endamame beans; carrots; kohlrabi; Roma and yellow pear tomoatoes; golden beets
The endamame beans in particular are the best thing ever. They are so buttery. And green-tasting. Sooooo much better than the ones in the bag (which were already one of my favorite foods). We should have planted nothing but these babies. Sooooo good.
But my favorite item that got pulled out of the dirt was this carrot.
