I can't believe I forgot to give you Maggie's update from her doctor's visit last week! She had a great check-up and showed off for the doctor, as she has consistently done. Her height and weight have bumped up a little (to the 6th and 9th percentiles respectively), so she's doing great, growing a little bit with all those banana and squash meals. They drew blood (a routine procedure for her age group) and results are all positive. Her iron level is on the low side of the fine threshold, so we've gotta bump up the lentils and tofu. But she has great vitamin D levels and no lead in her system -- that means good bones for this busy body. And she got the go-ahead for almost any kind of food. Still no liquid cow's milk, citrus, or nuts, but everything else is absolutely allowed. To celebrate this she got banana bread and we're ready to start yogurt and some cheeses too.
Also -- drum roll please -- Maggie has two new teeth! The bottom right and the top left incisors are present and accounted for. A veritable mountain range of incisors: MI1, MI2, and MI3. There's been very little drama with these, thank goodness. And pretty soon she'll be able to bite us real good.
