Peek a boo! Where did my baby who slept 4 hours in the afternoon go? Yes, since moving to the big girl bed, naptime has gotten more unpredictable. She's really good about staying in her bed; I give her a couple toys to occupy her a bit. But sleeping is not happening really as much. Sometimes she's asleep in minutes, and sleeps until close to 4. Usually if she falls asleep quickly she wakes up a bit before 3. Sometimes she plays until 2 and then it's suddenly silent until 4. Sometimes, like today, she just plays and plays and plays and talks and talks until Joe Bunny wakes up and I have to go in to rescue her from bed. Yes, this was inevitable. Yes, I knew this would happen all along. But that doesn't mean it stings less now that it's occurring. Really, though, do you just all of a sudden change one day and no longer need a 3-hour nap. "Yesterday, Mother, 3 hours was appropriate for my nap. Today, though, I only need 1. Dost thou understand? Most excellent."
