Moving right along! Our kitchen is looking beeeeeee-utiful after three and a half weeks. Look at that window. Huge, right?! And the new bathroom is so exciting. And the cabinets look spectacular. And we love the countertops. And a pantry; I'll have a pantry!
This week is dedicated pretty much to flooring. We're getting slate tiles laid since it turns out we had no hardwood underneath the carpet-linoleum-carpet-linoleum layers. It feels like this will soon be a place where we can live again. Well, we'd better be able to, since our housesitting gig ends next week. Now that all the cabinets are up and the counters are in and the maze of boxes in the garage/living room/back yard is shrinking, it seems like this may be realistic!
Lest you think we could move in tomorrow, however, the front yard is still as much a disaster as ever. Think our neighbors loooooove us? But after our first neighborhood dinner party to show off the kitchen, they may forgive our prolonged trashiness.
